Also in the Caption Art Auction this coming Saturday is the above piece, contributed by Andrew Cheverton on this year’s convention theme of ‘austerity’. It is based on the quote “When I have a little money, I buy books; and if I have any left, I buy food and clothes,” from Desiderius Erasmus Roterodamus.

All proceeds from the auction go to the Caption Warchest, ensuring that the not-for-profit convention for creators and readers of the British small press and indy comic scene can continue to provide such a relaxed and beneficial event for the UK scene.

Up for grabs in the Caption Art Auction this Saturday evening (see here for details), is this gorgeous painting by Tim Keable done for the cover of The Girly Comic 5.

Angry Candy creators Andrew Cheverton and Tim Keable will be exhibiting at the British International Comics Show this coming weekend.

At Table 22 in Hall 2 (sharing with the lovely Jenika Ioffreda of Neptune Factory), they will be selling copies of the brand new West: Distance pt 2 - which will again be available in an Art Edition, where each copy comes with your choice of a page of the fully-pencilled original art from the comic.

The British International Comics Show will be held at the Think Tank, at Millennium point in Birmingham, this October 16th and 17th.
